The Bronx “Inveigh”
America understands that there’s one party in this country that’s in favor of health care reform and one party that’s against it and they know why.
They understand if Barack Obama were somehow able to cure hunger in the world, the Republicans would blame him for over-population.
They understand that if Barack obama could somehow bring about world peace, they’d blame him for destroying the defense industry.
In fact they understand that if Barack Obama has a BLT sandwich tomorrow for lunch, they will try to ban bacon.
the original soundtrack for $5.99
Awesome - thanks for the early birthday present Tari. Wink wink.
Jawbox to Reunite on “Fallon”
Say what you will about Jimmy Fallon’s unctuous, sycophantic interview style, but the man has turned his show into probably the most dependable late-night TV music stop since mid-90s Conan. This goes way beyond Fallon hiring the Roots as his house band. Last week, he hosted the Dirty Projectors and Sunny Day Real Estate on consecutive nights. And in two months, he’ll play host to the first performance in 12 years from D.C. post-hardcore heroes Jawbox, Billboard reports.
Back in July, we reported that the band was preparing to reissue their 1994 major label debut For Your Own Special Sweetheart. That remastered album is due November 23 from DeSoto Records, the label run by former member Kim Coletta. And now Billboard reports that the band will reconvene on “Fallon” on December 8.
At the moment, the band has no plans for any further reunion shows, but maybe if we ask real nice … (via pitchfork)
