In the past month I’ve been active with two other blogs that feature some really cool content. You should check them out. Textual Artifacts is an archive of curated material involving interesting, but mostly old, typographic signage, advertising and design. My brother-in-law and I have been feverishly taking photos all over our city and are encouraging friends in other cities to submit their own photos (not re-posting other content found online). Skag Heaven is a video archive of (underground) Louisville Music. Over the years I have favorited and liked many, many videos on YouTube and Vimeo of Louisville bands. I’ve been tossing around the idea to doing something similar to this for many years, but when the fine folks at VHX came out with their tumblr theme I knew it was time. It’s the perfect theme for a video blog.The real experience of Skag Heaven is watching it on your desktop/laptop in it’s full-screen video goodness.
