Us Vs. Them was a record store which lived and died in the back of Home Skateshop during the mid 1990’s when Home was located on Baxter Avenue just north of Broadway.

This was my second home. I spent almost every day there after school my senior year.

Nathan SalsburgSought & Hidden

Nathan was one of my closest friends towards the end of high school and we were in a punk band called Amaroq. We spent a good amount of time listening to records in his bedroom and playing guitar. Ever since I can remember he has always been able to play the most intricate and beautiful acoustic music.

Many years later after playing in a handful of bands he is putting out his first solo record called “Affirmed” on No Quarter records. If you like this track you should pick it up.

I hear it took Salsburg a long time to make Affirmed, and it sounds it. Not because the picking is complicated, which it is—I suspect Nathan will eventually be recognized as among the foremost American acoustic guitarists, for anyone keeping that score—but because there is so much emotion here, so much full-grown, that it must have taken a life, at least.” — M.C. Taylor

Paz and I have been fostering these 3 lil’ whipper snappers since they were 3 weeks old. A friend of ours dad was watching them on his farm until he noticed the momma-cat not coming around anymore. He later found her on the side of the road. We offered to watch them until they were old enough to find a new home, and they will be ready the week of July 18th. Louisville peeps, please help spread the word to anyone who might be interested. Interested inquiries at email me at safemedia (at) gmail (dot) com.

The two tabby’s are boys and the one with the black coat is a girl. They have been dewormed, litter trained and are very social. When they are old enough they will need the necessary immunizations, and to be spayed and neutered.

You can a video of them in action here and here.
